EYG garden room post on Facebook goes viral

A recent installation of one of our bespoke garden rooms has gone viral after the customer shared an image of it to a worldwide Facebook page and received literally thousands of lovely comments.

One of our customers, Kate, from Lincolnshire, recently shared a photo of her EYG garden room on a Facebook page called 'View from your window' and received a staggering response.

The post has so far attracted over 332k likes, over 1k shares, and 5k comments.

Kate, a retired police officer, wrote in her post: “Not the most beautiful view in any way, but to me it is. I had to medically retire from the police force after a failed knee replacement left me unable to walk properly.

“I now work from home and this little office has given me my independence back.”

Followers said garden room is "perfect"

The image received a flood of glowing comments from followers of the page, with many loving what Kate had also done with the interior, adding a bed for her dog, as well as furnishing the office with a vibrant yellow chair and contemporary white furniture to keep the space airy and bright.

Follower Catherine said: “Perfect! Even space for you dog.” While Janine wrote: “Looks like George Clark needs to see,” referring to the Channel 4 programme Amazing Spaces, which features small but perfectly-formed abodes made from sheds, pods, treehouses and even camper vans.

Meanwhile Haley wrote: “This looks like a dream job honestly!!! What a BEAUTIFUL view!”

Abbygale added: “I love this little idea. It must be very soothing to just be in there during a rainstorm.”

"Perfect jewel"

One commented it looked like "a perfect jewel" and another said "This may be the coolest office I've ever seen!"

The bespoke garden room was created in around two weeks, and features a timber and UPVC frame which makes it extremely durable and low maintenance. Kate told us: “We have put a heater in and it heats up really well and holds the warmth. We only went for 2.1x2.1m size, and it fits everything we need, including my desk, with room for the dogs.”

Kate said her office was on the top floor of her three-storey house, and with her mobility issues she was unable to use it, whereas she now has easy access to her office - which in turn has improved her quality of life.

Kate’s husband Stuart praised the sales man, Jason, who initially visited them, saying he “wasn’t pushy at all” and the whole process of installation went smoothly.

The couple, however, have been shocked at the reaction they received online.

Kate said: “I couldn’t believe the response, it’s just my little office, and yet the reaction has been quite unbelievable.”
