EYG products provide the ‘wow factor’ and expertise offers ‘peace of mind’ as couple complete full home makeover

6th May 2025

A couple who have transformed their new home say they have been given the ‘wow factor’ thanks to the ‘excellent quality’ of EYG’s products.

And they say they can now enjoy their new home with the ‘peace of mind’ having used a long-established, respected company which offers long-term after sales care, and ‘warrantees with real value’.

Patrick and Helen Gavin, of South Yorkshire, almost have their very own EYG showroom given they have replaced the old conservatory, windows, doors, fascias and soffits they inherited when buying their new home in Lincolnshire.

Mr Gavin says he was delighted with the service provided by the EYG team, from the sales staff who advised on products best suited to meet their needs, to the workmen who were ‘so professional’ and ‘worked in all conditions’ to complete the job to the highest standard.

“We can’t praise EYG and its team enough, they have been exceptional from start to finish and we are delighted with the final result,” said Mr Gavin.

“We’ve had excellent service and the products are of excellent quality.

“The salesman Martin was fantastic in advising us throughout. He suggested we have a gable end to the conservatory, glazed to the very top as we are not overlooked, which has allowed us to bring in extra light without using roof-lights,

“Then he advised us with regards to opting for the large sliding doors from the main lounge into the conservatory. Initially I was going to have four door sections on there, but what we have finished with is tremendous.

“It all helps with the flow of the room and, despite the size, is really easy to open and close, giving us a really large opening between the rooms.”

Products chosen to impact on temperature, privacy and light

Products were carefully considered to impact on the environment within the bungalow.

The tiled conservatory roof ensures pleasant temperatures all year round, whilst black-out screens on windows at the front of the house, into a bedroom and the kitchen, provide extra privacy.

A stable door at the back of the house offers an option to bring in more light – and fresh air – when required.

The couple have also taken advantage of the variety of colours UPVC doors and windows offer, choosing Rosewood for the exterior of the conservatory and windows at the back of the bungalow, and Golden Oak for the windows and doors at the front of the house, matching the property’s modern garage door. Interiors of windows and doors are white for consistency throughout.

“We’ve sought quality in all we’ve done in the house at the house, from the flooring to new furniture, and so we wanted to go to a reputable glazing specialist as we wanted quality products and peace of mind,” added Mr Gavin.

“We’ve got that, and I also really like the strength of the EYG warrantee, which has real value to it compared to many others. I know that, should the need for some work arise on what we’ve had done, it will be provided. I think that’s important.

“We had good advice throughout our dealings with EYG, and as I have said the fitters were excellent – people you were comfortable to have in your home as they were professional and hard-working. We just made sure we kept them well supplied in teas and coffees!”

Helen added: “We’re really pleased with everything. We’ve been given the wow-factor so we can now enjoy our new home.”
