Superb small conservatory in Filey

Mr and Mrs Hall, of South Crescent Road, Filey, had  relatively small space to work with, but still managed to create a stunning conservatory in which to relax and also create more living space for their home.

Why did they choose EYG?

  • Wanted to make more of unused outdoor space
  • Keen to extend modern semi-detached home
  • Wanted a fresh, contemporary conservatory
  • Eager to incorporate patio doors into design

What did we do?

Once you settle in a new home, it often becomes obvious how the space can better suit your lifestyle.

That’s exactly what happened at this fabulous Filey home, where the homeowners improved their way of life by adding a stunning modern white uPVC conservatory.

To create a seamless flow, we laid the concrete base so it was level with the existing floor and added dwarf walls which matched the existing brickwork.

The use of obscured glass allows natural light to flood in from every angle, whilst maintaining a high level of privacy from neighbouring properties, complementing the stunning clear glass roof which captures the skyline’s ever-changing beauty.

Finished in crisp white (with matching handles), this lovely garden room extension might measure just 3.1 metres by 2.8 metres, but its 3-metre high ceiling accentuates the space to make it feel much bigger.

How long did it take?

  • A lot of time obviously went in to the design phase, including the foresight to lift the existing pavers so they could be saved and put back down for a flawless exterior finish.
  • But with no planning permission required, this stunning small conservatory in Filey only took a couple of months to complete and was built under ‘permitted development’ rights.
