Stylish small replacement conservatory roof in Beverley

Mr & Mrs Booford, Hamilton Walk, Beverley

Why did they choose EYG?

  • Wanted conservatory to feel more like an extension
  • To enjoy more regulated temperatures all year round
  • Keen to improve ‘flow’ from main home to conservatory
  • Eager to make both spaces warmer and more welcoming
  • Admired EYG’s exclusive solid Hybrid roof design

What did we do?

Beverley is a lovely market town which is well known for its wide range of independent shops, delightful restaurants – and small, quirky properties.

This stunning Hybrid conservatory roof transformation certainly proves the old adage that clever ideas can still make a massive impression in a small space!

Measuring 4.5m by 3m in total, this additional living space faces out onto a gardenf. The space created by EYG dramatically improved their property and lifestyle.

Replacing the glass roof with an anthracite grey Hybrid alternative featuring eight dimmable spotlights instantly made the space feel intimate and cosy. Choosing not to include glazed panels within the roof design has also added an extra layer of privacy.

By removing the original exterior door, and using a lintel to create a permanent open throughway into the conservatory space, we eliminated the barrier separating both spaces to make them feel far more unified.

Adding an underfloor heating system in both the kitchen and conservatory ensures both areas feel warm and homely, with the new stylish Sepia Oak wood flooring complementing the overall high-quality finish.

How long did it take?

  • Fortunately, we did not need planning permission for this fantastic Hybrid roof, which was installed under Building Regulations using ‘permitted development’ rights.
  • It only took a few weeks to design and manufacture the 100% bespoke roof – with the impressive transformation taking about a fortnight to fully complete.
