EYG Windows

Smart & simple double glazing in Scunthorpe

John and Wynne Smith, Gunness, Scunthorpe

Why did they choose EYG?

•    Double glazed windows were old and draughty

•    Seals had broken and windows were cold

•    Wanted modern uPVC glazing with classic appearance

•    Needed two bay windows to complement bungalow’s style

•    New door required to update entrance to home

What did we do?

Having discussed the design and product requirements at an initial consultation, a classic uPVC window style was selected to complement the existing conservatory and appearance of the bungalow.

After removing the old windows, we quickly set about replacing them with new double glazing that had low, easy-access handles to make opening them from the inside quick and straightforward.

Installing the bay windows immediately flooded this beautiful home with more natural light.

The new entrance door and its church-window style glass panel helped to create a much warmer and welcoming entrance, finishing the project perfectly.

“Living in a bungalow meant we opted for a uPVC window style with a classic look that is in keeping with the age of the property,” explained homeowner John.

How long did it take?

  • Having gained years of experience double glazing Scunthorpe homes, modernising and updating this lovely bungalow only took two days to complete.
  • Homeowner John added: “The team which carried out the installation were very friendly. We gave them plenty of cups of tea, but they worked very hard and were extremely tidy. They cleaned up after themselves and you wouldn’t even know they’d been.
  • “We’ve already recommended EYG to friends and family - they did a smashing job. We haven’t regretted making the investment.”
