Retro-fit conservatory roof installed during full house transformation

This house underwent a complete transformation by EYG - lending a brand new contemporary look to the property.

We replaced all the existing windows and roof on the tired dated conservatory, and also replaced all the windows and doors throughout this Hull home.

Property owner Mr Shepherdson chose anthracite grey UPVC tilt and turn windows, French doors, and a solid conservatory roof clad in pewter Tapco tiles.

He also opted for a new composite door to complete the full house upgrade.

Why did they choose EYG and these products?

He said: "We went for EYG as we believe that you are the top double glazing firm in this area, and we didn’t want to go with the cheapest but overall we felt you were value for money.

"We had patio doors on the house before, but we wanted French doors as we wanted to be able to completely open them to let the fresh air in. The old conservatory was 22 years old and had a polycarbonate roof, so we always needed to have the heating on in here. With the rising cost of fuel, we thought we would use less energy with a solid roof.

"The solid roof really makes the conservatory more useable, we have bought a small heater for the room but it keeps the warmth on its own, so the new roof is certainly working well, along with the new window frames and glass.

"We use it as a day room, and we are really happy with how it looks."

What did we do?

EYG's installers removed the old conservatory roof and frames, and replaced them with anthracite grey UPVC window frames and a new solid consrvatory roof, with grey Tapco tiles.

The old windows, roof and frames were disposed of by EYG, and we installed new tilt and turn UPVC windows, UPVC French doors, and finally a new composite front door - in what was a stunning full house transformation.

What did they think of the work?

Mr Shepherdson said: "The installation was brilliant. The guys who came were very hard-working, very friendly, and very polite. They were incredibly helpful and worked to an extremely high standard."
