Replacement conservatory with hybrid roof

The property had a 20-year-old conservatory which was rotting in places, so we installed a new cntemoprary conservatory with a solid tiled 'hybrid' roof.

The alternating glass panels allow light to flood in, while the solid insulated roof keep a steady constant temperature all year round.

Why did they choose EYG?

  •  Their old conservatory was more than 20 years old and rotting in places
  • They wanted a modern conservatory to provide a comfortable temperature all year round
  •  Keen for a new style of roof and impressed by range of options available on the EYG website

What did we do?

Mr and Mrs Whitchurch had found they had a conservatory which was of little use to them. It was more than 20 years old and was either too cold to use in the winter months or unbearably hot in the summer. Parts of the interior sills were also beginning to rot.

The couple decided to replace it with a new conservatory, and opted for a hybrid roof which combines a solid vaulted roof, constructed from insulated aluminium, with a number of glass panels.

Our team installed the new conservatory, including removing the old roof and structure, in just five days.

The new conservatory includes double patio doors on the longer side, leading directly into the garden, patterned windows above the individual glazing panels, and glass roof panels on each side, and the front end of the conservatory, to allow light in.

How happy is the EYG customer?

Mrs Whitchurch said: “We’re delighted with our new conservatory and pleased that we went for the hybrid roof as it looks really nice from both the outside and the inside. It is certainly a lot more comfortable inside temperature wise and has made a huge difference as we hardly used the room before.

“We’ve also had lots of compliments from people who have seen it and our neighbours who have said they are also considering having something similar.

“We were impressed at how quickly the team from EYG carried out the work. The roof and structure of the old conservatory was down very quickly and the new build and roof was all done in four or five days.

“It has given us another usable and lovely room in our home and we are very happy with it.”
