EYG Windows

Pocklington conservatory upgrade

Mr and Mrs Beattie, Miller Close, Pocklington

Why did they choose EYG?

  • Wanted to transform conservatory into useable year-round room
  • Eager to remove ageing polycarbonate roof
  • Loved EYG’s unique Hybrid roof with glazed panels
  • Determined to create a stunning interior ceiling

What did we do?

This stunning home transformation may have taken a a lot of careful planning, but the finished result was a superb cosy living space which has improved the homeowners’ property and lifestyle.

With a sizeable P-shaped conservatory already in place but massively underutilised, our task was to reinvigorate the area by installing a new Hybrid roof with glazed roof panels to let natural light flood in.

Our first task was to protect the tiled floor already in place, before removing and recycling the outdated polycarbonate roof – which was making the room far too cold to use in winter.

Having carefully positioned the supporting roof structure onto the existing PVCU frames, this was seal welded into place to allow the aluminium and glass panels to be constructed and tied into the property with detailed lead work.

Attention then turned to the interior, with the vaulted ceiling plastered and finished in white to create a light, spacious and airy feel.

To give whole house a complete refresh in line with the existing Sherwood oak colour theme, new uPVC windows were installed in the kitchen, bedrooms and lounge before the addition of a welcoming new front door.

How long did it take?

  • This lovely home improvement only took a matter of weeks to complete, with the new Hybrid roof covered by retrospective planning permission already in existence.
