New bespoke stable door for customer with dogs

A stable door was the perfect option for this home - where the family wanted ventilation in their home but a way of keeping their pet dogs inside.

The tilt and turn window option for the top half of the stable door was a bespoke product created just for this customer's needs.

Why did they choose EYG?

  • Wanted to modernize the back of the house by replacing and old window and door.
  • Needed a way of being able to allow more air into the home, but keep pet dogs in the garden.
  • Wanted something easy and light to use when opening and closing.

What did we do?

This was a simple installation, but a good example of listening to a customer’s exact needs, why they wanted a specific product and how it would be used. The customer told us they wanted to replace their existing single window and door, which are located on the back of their home.

They needed a way of ensuring their two Labrador dogs could be contained safely in the garden, but also wanted to allow more air into their home than from just a single window.
They suggested a stable door, but rather the traditional product, which has a complete top-half opening, our team suggested creating a bespoke stable door which incorporated a tilt & turn window.

We suggested this because it would provide a much lighter, simpler, stylish and contemporary opening section.Crucially, it gives the customer greater flexibility on ventilation, as, dependent on the weather outside, they can now choose to have the top section of the door completely wide open, or just slightly vented with the tilting option.

How long did it take?

The installation of a new uPVC window and stable door with tilt & turn window, and removal of the old window and doors, was completed in a day
Mr Sutton said: “We are delighted with the service and the product. The door does exactly what we need and it was a really good idea to do it in this way.

I can’t praise the fitter from EYG highly enough as he completed it all in a day. He put sheets down to ensure there was no mess and kept a good social distance at all times. We are very happy.”
