Loyal EYG customer is first to buy our newly-launched garden room – and loves it!

When pensioner Mrs Minns found out EYG were now manufacturing and fitting garden rooms, she was quick to find out more.

Having a lovely large garden, she had the perfect spot for it, just a short walk from her back door, with wraparound views of her south-facing lawn and shrubs.

Why did she choose EYG?

Having lived in her Hull home for more than five decades, she was very familiar with EYG, and was still enjoying her windows that were fitted by us in the 1970s.

When she received a call informing her of our new product launch, she was keen to get a quote as she wanted a space from within her garden to sit and enjoy the views of her trees and plants, while keeping warm and dry.

What did we do?

We built a 2.1m by 2.1m garden room, which is constructed from a timber and UPVC frame, making it very strong durable, and completely maintenance-free. It won’t need any annual staining or treating, and has a ten-year warranty, although it will last many more years after that.

We dug the base and constructed it on top of concrete pad foundations. The whole process takes just a matter of days, depending on the size of the garden room.

Mrs Minns opted to have all the base work, flooring and electrics included, and we built extra outdoor lighting into the unit, as per her wishes.

We also added a wider step and a handrail to give her better access, and side windows to give her 180-degree views.

What  did she think of the work?

Mrs Minns said she loved the finished design, and was looking forward to spending the summer in her garden room, enjoying the peace and tranquility of her garden in comfort.
