EYG launches Spring Sale as it marks 15 years at Pennells Garden Centre
20th March 2024
EYG is marking 15 years of trading at a popular Lincolnshire garden centre by launching a new sale to coincide with the first day of spring.
Since moving from a base in Lincoln city centre to Pennells Garden Centre, EYG has seen its sales increase year on year.
The company’s domestic sales and marketing director John Waugh says the base has helped the business establish a strong reputation across the county – with the start of spring usually signalling the beginning of busier periods at the centre.
EYG has continually invested in its Pennells site, which now includes conservatories with a range of roof styles, garden rooms, extensions with skylights and windows and doors.
“We’re really grateful to the team at Pennells for the support they given to our business over the past 15 years, and for the support also from their customers who come from across Lincolnshire,” said Mr Waugh.
“When we first agreed to take part of the site I don’t think we could have hoped for it to have been as successful as it has, but we have found we have been a good fit for one another.

“Over the years, garden centres like Pennells have continually evolved and become much more focused on home improvements, and of course, sell many great products to help customer get the most from their gardens.
“It all goes hand-in-hand with our products, particularly our conservatories and garden rooms, which are all giving people extra living space which provides a natural connection to their garden.
“Over the years we added to our plot at the centre and each and every time we have wanted to do so the team has been very supportive and helpful.
“Being at Pennells has really helped us establish our brand across Lincolnshire due to the huge amount of people who visit, and that is why we have invested so heavily in the products we have on display, and our team who are there seven days a week, with a team of eight sales and marketing staff.”
Sale offers 30% savings on popular garden rooms
As part of the Spring Sale, launched today EYG customers will be able to secure discounts of up to 30% on Garden Rooms,, which are all double-glazed for maximum energy efficiency, have a 35-year lifespan, and come with a ten-year warranty. The company is also offering up to 30% off conservatories and orangeries, and up to 55% off new windows and doors as part of its sale.
Pennells is one of the oldest garden companies in the country and is probably the oldest still in the same family ownership.
The business was founded by a Richard Pennell in 1780. Today the company is run by the seventh and eighth generations Richard Pennell and his son William Pennell.
Richard said: “We’re really pleased to have EYG as part of our offering here. They have continually invested in their showroom over the years and that of course helps add to the appeal of our centre and helps us attract more customers.
“Importantly they are also very nice people to deal with, and that is why we’ve had a great relationship for 15 years, and we look forward to many more years working together.”
