We can also design, supply and fit bespoke porches to suit any property - even if you need an unusual shape or size. For porches which are in need of a re-vamp, our flexi-roof modules are constructed from GRP and can be fitted to any existing frame.

Porches FAQs

Do porches need planning permission?

If you want to add a porch to any external door of a house, it does not need planning permission if it is under 3sm in floor area and not within 2 metres of any boundary that is adjacent to a highway. This is because it can be approved under permitted development rules. If you do want a porch which is larger than 3sqm it could need planning permission. If that is the case, our fitters will take care of the planning process.

Different rules do apply for flats, maisonettes and houses created through the permitted development right.

What porch roof styles are there?

Because our porches can be made bespoke to your exact requirements, you can choose the roof style which will best suit your property. With six different roof designs to consider, we are confident you will find something that complements your existing taste, including flat roof, pitched roof, gable-end pitched, double hipped to wall, single hipped and double hipped to ridge.

What roof style can I have on a GRP door canopy?

All of our GRP door canopies can also be made completely bespoke to your needs, meaning they are also available in a range of roof styles including mono pitch, arched, country style and Tudor style.
