There has been some big news in the home improvement industry recently, regarding Energy Assessments. Currently, any home that is being sold or rented needs to be Energy Assessed before they do so. As of April 1st, this rule expands to include any home that is going to have Solar Panels. Now, there is a strong possibility that, by October of this year, any home that is planning to have a substantial home improvement such as an extension, a conservatory and maybe even new windows will also require an energy assessment. So it may well be prudent to get any home improvements done sooner rather than later, saving the need for an energy assessment.
