EYG LAUNCHES NEW GRP RANGE
Hull-based glazing and home improvement specialists, the EYG Group, has launched a complete new product range as part of its continuing expansion programme.
Having built its reputation very much on glass for almost 40 years, the group has introduced a range of glass reinforced products (GRP) which will be available to both domestic and commercial customers.
Frank Saunders, the Group’s marketing director, described the announcement as “one of the most significant commercial advances made by EYG in recent years”.
The new range includes over-door canopies, door surrounds (including pillars), doorways, bow bay canopies and cantilever car-ports and features classical, Georgian and contemporary styles.
Frank added: “We’ve wanted to expand our product range in this manner for some time but we chose to delay the actual launch until we were completely satisfied that we had a strong range of winning products to offer.
“The cantilever car-ports are quite amazing in that you could – if you wanted to – stand an average car on the car- port and it wouldn’t give way. In more technical terms, they are installed to withstand a load of 1,690 kilograms.”
EYG are also introducing GRP to their orangery range to enhance the roof system. Frank said: “Our conservatories are still extremely popular with more people choosing to extend their homes rather than move house in these difficult times. There is also a move to buy a solid roof orangery which can be used for just about any purpose.”
EYG’s joint managing director Nick Ward said the introduction of the new range was yet another significant step forward in the group’s development. In the past 18 months, EYG has expanded further into south Lincolnshire and the East Midlands and now covers a major part of the country.
He added: “While our success was built on providing windows and home improvements to the public, especially in Hull and East Yorkshire, EYG is now one of the country’s leading commercial glazing specialists, providing design and product installation to multi-million pounds developments.
“This new GRP range will help us to maintain our position as one of the UK’s leading companies in our sector.”
