HOLIDAY LODGE CONTRACT AWARDED TO EYG
EYG, the Hull-based glazing and home improvement specialists, have been awarded the contract to supply windows and doors for six new holiday lodges being built at the KP golf and leisure complex near Pocklington.
The KP Club, a popular 18-hole golf course near Kilnwick Percy, is situated in 400 acres of beautiful Yorkshire Wolds countryside and enjoys panoramic view over the Vale of York. Under the KP Living brand, the owners are developing the centre as an all-round holiday and leisure venue, featuring a number of holiday lodges.
The main contractor for the initial six lodges is the Hall Construction Group, also of Hull. The Group, which has a turnover of around £25m, is one of the best known construction firms in the region, established 120 years ago and now owned by the fourth generation Hall family.
Their commercial director, Neil Symmonds, said: “Whenever possible, we like to award contracts to companies based in our area and we’ve worked with the EYG Group on many previous occasions. This is a prestigious and almost landmark development that the KP owners, Ispace, are creating and we know EYG have the necessary expertise, products and track record to do the job.”
Dennis Barnard, commercial accounts manager at EYG, said: “The KP Club has enormous potential as a golf and holiday centre and EYG is delighted to be playing a part in its development. We already have an excellent track record in the sport and leisure sector and we see this as a real growth area over the next few years.”
EYG is one of the country’s leading independent glazing, home improvement and conservatory specialists with a turnover in excess of £20m and employing around 300 people, mostly at their Wiltshire Road, Hull, headquarters.
