EYG RECEIVES TOP INDUSTRY RECOGNITION
Hull-based glazing and home improvement specialists, the EYG Group, has been awarded a prestigious construction industry accreditation.
The company, which made its name manufacturing and installing double glazing to homes throughout the Hull and East Yorkshire region in the 70s and 80s, is now recognised as one of the country's leading independent glazing firms and has worked on a string of high profile developments.
To enhance its reputation even further, EYG has been awarded the Certificate of Accreditation of the Building Confidence scheme, a programme supported by some of the country's largest property developers and construction companies and who select contractors largely on the confidence in their ability to raise standards, improve risk management and deliver.
They include Bovis Lend Lease, with whom EYG worked on a multi-million pound student accommodation project in Sheffield, York-based Shepherd Construction, Skanska, Mace, British Land and Davis Langdon Consultants.
EYG's Marketing Director Frank Saunders said: "Known in the construction industry as the Achilles Accreditation, this is a very well respected endorsement of a company's ability to deliver the goods.
"Before being awarded our certificate, we were inspected by an externally appointed assessor who examined our accounts for the past few years and looked closely at our growth plans, our technical ability as well as our environmental policies and health and safety in the workplace. This is regarded as one of the most meticulous audits a company in our sector can endure so we were naturally delighted to pass the test."
EYG has a turnover is excess of £20m and employs more than 300 people, mostly at its Wiltshire Road, Hull, headquarters. In addition to its sales to the public - home improvements, conservatories and garage conversions - the company has become one of the major providers of glazing to a wide range of commercial developments.
